WORDS ON ART WORK

I belong to the breed of artist who comes from city rooted in cultural values, with an instinctive sensitivity of the contemporary. I observe objects, human collections and social phenomena from surrounding environment and try to develop forms, with those which really touch my heart.

For this series I choose “Bottle” as my object. Not having strong reason for it. Somewhere in my sub-conscious mind I find the form very interesting and consciously decide to stick with it. With different stones, at some places metal is used to break the monotony and highlight the object.

In some artwork I tried to maintain the fine inherent texture of marble appears during the process. And in others, the pattern and cuts are maintained which appear to be unfinished yet complete my art form. Result - the artwork which is unique in itself.

Gradually the shape and imagination molds in a character. I named them “Ramlal” and “Rukamani”. One can judge that, not much of the work is done on the faces. This gives the space to the viewer to involve himself with Ramlal.

Ramlal and his family strongly reflect emotions of common man. As every person spend long time thinking, looking and being alone. This time takes us in different situations.

The situations which separates us from the reality and place us n' our love one's in extra dimension of world. The world- which don't have any boundaries or limitations. The world of our imaginations. As every Ramlal, wants to have his “Sapno Ki Udhan” with his Golden Wings.
